In the olden times, the lead actresses used to be much sober and the shimmy-shakes were the responsibility of some “bad” girls not suitable to be featured in the leading role. That was the reason Helen Richardson was always a vamp or a dancer in Bollywood movies of the 1960s and 70s. Before Helen made big, her family friend Cuckoo was the top dancer. But, they never got to lead the successful movies.
