This post is the continuation of posts on Mujra in which the first part featured a stage performance by Aishwarya Rai on various classic mujra dances from Hindi movies. The second part featured a collection of five classic mujra dances from various movies. This part will also feature five more classical mujra dances from various movies.

This is the continuation of our series of Mujra in Hindi Movies. The first part of the series features a stage performance of Aishwarya Rai on various classic mujra dances in Hindi movies. As promised, we are posting some of the greatest Mujra dances in Hindi movies.

This second part of the series is featuring five Mujra dances by actresses/dancers like Vajyanti mala, Bela Bose, Hema Malini, Mumtaz and Meena Kumari from movies Sadhana, Devar, Sarafat, Kilona and Pakeeza respectively.

Sunny Leone the popular adult movie industry star of Indian origin is being featured in Indian TV’s reality show Bigg Boss. Sunny Leone is featured in the show as ‘Miss Namkeen’ and she uses her seduction style to seduce Amar Upadhyay and Akashdeep Saigal in the episode telecasted on Wednesday.

The California-based Indian girl, Sunny Leone, is given a new task in Bigg Boss. Sunny would dance to a particular Bollywood number and provide amusement to her housemates daily before bedtime.  Pooja Mishra is also appointed as her aide in preparing for the dance show.

A new musical, "Wah! Wah! Girls" is scheduled to premiere at the Sadler’s Wells, Peacock Theatre with theme “East London meets Bollywood” from 24 May to 23 June 2012. This will mark the the first collaboration between Sadler’s Wells, Stratford East and Kneehigh.

The musical is Written by acclaimed playwright Tanika Gupta (Fragile Land, Sugar Mummies fame) and is directed by  award-winning director Emma Rice.

According to the current trend in Hindi movies, an item dances (the more the merrier) is almost a must to appeal to the public. There used to be item dances in old movies but not as frequent. The old age audience was more comfortable with the dances in garden and forests.

In 80s and 90s some spicy disco dances marked the influence of west. The term item girl should have been coined at that time. But, the audience was more comfortable with the the Indian version of item dance, Mujra. Mujra had been appearing the audience from the start to the current time – the latest being the one by Kareena Kapoor in Agent Vinod.

A lot of Hindi movies have featured beautiful mujra dances with lovely lyrics, and heart-touching music. Couple with great dance by some of the best dancing actress of Hindi film, these Mujra dances have been evergreen in Hindi film. Let’s go back to the memory lane to list some of the Mujra dances.

Saif Ali Khan asked Gulshan Grover to make a special appearance in his upcoming movie Agent Vinod. The last minute decision of Saif to ask Gulshan to take part in the movie caused him to rush him back to Mumbai’s Filmistan studio, where Kareena Kapoor‘s mujra dance was being shot.

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor has shot a mujra for the Saif Ali Khan’s home production movie Agent Vinod recently. The dance was so hectic that Kareena told, “I want to kill Saif. I wrapped up the song in 21 hours flat and now I’m sighing over my bruised hands and feet.”

Kareena told that the track was a typically Indian classical song. Although she didn’t have enough time for rehearsals, it turned out to be a nice shot.

Kareena was also pleased that her "mentor" Saroj Khan choreographed the song.

In a latest report, Amitabh Bachchan’s film Buddhah Hoga Terra Baap, will feature Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon in an item number.

The music track, composed by Vishal-Shekhar, is sung by Sheila ki Jawaani fame Sunidhi Chauhan. The item number Sheila ki Jawaani was one of the biggest hits in 2010.

Raveena’s item numbers – Tu Cheez Badi Hai Mast Mast in the 1994 movie Mohra and Gore Gore Baal in the 1997 movie Ziddi had established herself as one of the item girls in Bollywood.
